Meet Raquel. Dr Raquel Valentim is an experienced general dentist, who will make you feel relaxed and comfortable during your visit and guide you to make the best choices when it comes to your dental health. Raquel believes a smile can change a life and has seen the positive impact good dentistry brings to her patients’ life and self-esteem.

She is very passionate about dentistry in general and provides a calming and positive environment. Raquel provides a holistic approach in her practice, which means that her services are tailored to your individual needs.

Raquel has received further training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and uses the latest techniques to help her patients achieve a natural and beautiful smile, including professional whitening (Zoom and Enlighten), tooth alignment with Invisalign, Inman, Angel Aligners and Six Month Smiles, and Digital Smile Design. She also has training in aesthetic composite and porcelain restorations, facial aesthetics with injectables, gum disease management and minor gum surgery, splint therapy for teeth grinding and TMJD, occlusion (bite) training, and the management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. She is currently finishing her Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics, and her work has been recognised by her peers with a Case of the Month award from Dental Circle.

In her personal life, Raquel grew up in sunny Portugal and has been living locally for many years. She has a young family, with two young children and a puppy labrador, who is the star of the family. She loves spending time with her family, camping, stargazing and landscape photography, so you might find her catching sunrises and sunsets with her phone or camera.
