Healthy Smiles Start Young

Building good habits is at the heart of children’s dentistry. Whether it’s a toddler’s first visit, helping children understand the effects of sugar on their teeth, or making them feel comfortable with regular check-ups, we are here to support you every step of the way. Establishing strong oral health habits early is key to a lifetime of healthy smiles. As an added benefit, when attending as a family for your check-up, children under 6 are seen for free* and children aged 6 and over are seen for a reduced price of £25.

FAQs

Children ideally should have their first visit within 6 months of their first tooth appearing, or by their first birthday at the latest. However, we always encourage parents to bring their children from as early as they like, to get used to the surroundings and the team.

If you are a regular patient at our practice, your children under 6 can be seen free of charge. Children aged 6 and over are required to pay a £25 fee for their first examination. Please note that a parent or guardian must accompany the child to be eligible for this offer.

We take each appointment at the child's pace. We are a friendly, patient team and we aim to make children's visits as fun as possible, so if they aren't comfortable in the beginning, it hopefully won't be long before they are!
